This preservative E223 is used to extend the shelf life of sausages and burgers. The maximum level of usage is 450ppm. We recommend the usage level in the final product is 0.08% so for a 20kg batch of sausages you would add 16g of sodium metabisulphite.

If you require further technical details please contact us and we will be able to discuss your requirement further. Supplied in a 5kg carton.
